Danger of Precision Metal Stamping Applications
Have you ever stopped to think about the danger involved in precision metal stamping? Sure, the majority of the work is automated. But, if you have ever seen the huge machinery that flanks the feeding system for the sheet metal which will undergo the precision metal stamping, the odds are good you are sure to be awed.
The foregoing notwithstanding, the human element is very real and necessary. In fact, at times it is needed to make up for machinery errors or lack of follow through. Perhaps the greatest danger is that of cuts (sometimes all the way to the bone) from partially removed scraps of metal. Although plentiful safety gear is in place, human error and the speed of the feed line can undo a lot of the safety precautions.
