The ISO 9000 Standard

The ISO 9000 standard is a list of standards intended to ensure uniform, safe product development and a commitment to excellence in industrial manufacturing.

These standards are created by the International Organization for Standardization. A production company endures independent and internal audits to assess its adherence to these standards, and certification is awarded to those who meet the requirements.

The majority of companies that achieve ISO 9000 certification publicly display this fact in order to attract business and increase customer confidence in the quality of the produced products. Certification does not guarantee that a company consistently upholds the standards, only that the policies and procedures necessary to enforce the standards are in place within the facility.

Custom Metal Fabrication – A Fast Growing Industry

Custom metal fabrication is a high demand industry that shows no sign of slowing in growth or appeal. Custom metal fabrication providers service the aerospace industry, the medical and surgical industry, the architectural industry, and the automotive industry- just to name a few. The custom metal fabrication process is diverse and can be both complex and simple.

Custom Metal Fabrication in Software

CAD/CAM design software is often used in custom metal fabrication. This software allows an engineer to troubleshoot any potential problems before production begins. It also provides three-dimensional imaging of the product for the customer. CAD/CAM program training is a popular course in many technical and trade schools today, partly due to the growing custom metal fabrication industry growth in recent years.
